• MWS EXHIBITS NEW BODY OF WORK AT HEARNE FINE ART IN LITTLE ROCK

    Marjorie is pleased to exhibit her new body of work titled BLACK FIELDS: Crops Cultivated by Enslaved Africans - Cotton, Tobacco, Rice, and Sugar, at Hearne Fine Art in Little Rock, Arkansas. This exhibition focuses on crops cultivated by enslaved Africans beginning in 1619. These landscape drawings and paintings shed light on American history that has not been fully explored. The exhibition will be on display until November 30, 2024.

  • MWS’S WORK INCLUDED IN FORT SMITH EXHIBITION

    Marjorie is honored to be included in the Art of Living Artists exhibition on display at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum, in Fort Smith Arkansas. The Museum received an acquisition grant provided by the Windgate Foundation in 2021. This new exhibition of the procured works is a valuable addition to the RAM Permanent Collection. The exhibition will be on display until December 1, 2024.

  • MWS INCLUDED IN EXHIBITION AT HAM

    Marjorie is honored to have work included in the COLLECTING ARKANSAS MADE exhibition at the Historic Arkansas Museum (HAM) in Little Rock, Arkansas. This exhibition showcases the most important artist and artisan-made works to enter HAM’s Arkansas Made Collection over the past five years.

    Marjorie and her husband Aj Smith are featured in the online publication GLASSTIRE. This publication showcases art activities in the state of Texas. Marjorie and Aj’s joint exhibition SHARED VISIONS is currently on display at the Michelson Museum of Art in Marshall, Texas.
